i had a cat that came to my house. later she gave birth to 6 kittens but 2 died. 7 months later, which is now, another cat comes to my house and live here. with the 4 cats, and 1 fat cat that came out of nowhere, and the mother, and some other cats that just love to be here. its like, house of cats?
I have something similar happen! there was a stray that was running around, friendly but wary... I convinced a neighbor that he should live with them, and I paid all the vet bills to get him neutered, chipped, etc.
Then I had 3 cats come visiting me in rotation; they come running up to say hello like they belong to me or something. I must be the queen of the cats. ;-)
Same thing happened to me with a neighbor's gorgeous calico whom I renamed Goldilocks (obvious reasons). She turned out to be pretty good friends with my border collie, who also just sort of showed up out of nowhere and decided "I like this place. I live here now."
3rd panel: When I was in high school I was dating this guy. One time we were going back to his bedroom (uh, to watch a movie...) and his cat was laying on his bed. Rather than kicking the cat off the bed, he ran over to him, started petting him, baby-talking him and kissing him on the head. You best believe I married the s**t out of that boy. He's such a cat person and I love it.
"My mum actually broke up with someone because he didn't like cats. " Actually? Why "actually"? I have, too -- couldn't kick them out fast enough! LOVE the latest, Yasmine -- absolutely!
When I was going to college, there was this one girl in my classes. Really good looking. Used to be a cheerleader. Made it completely obvious that she was interested in me. But then one day she says she hates cats and I never talked to her again.
We went to Europe back in May, and my husband set up a cat-cam so we could watch the cats and make sure they were okay. It snapped a pic every time it detected movement, so we could scroll through the pics, or just watch it live.

ReplyDeleteAlso, I bought her your book and she loved it. :D
Perfectly reasonable, IMO, to want a partner who shares them if you have interests with a strong impact on your lifestyle. Or at least tolerates.
DeleteYay for including a cat guy into the mix :)
