Of course! Cat's don't understand why you won't feed them. You can't say "we're out of food." And even if they could understand, their response would be "then go out and hunt us something!" :)
This is accurate in my house as well. All three of us agree that the cats can't understand: Short on money, so short on food. We'd rather take the lean fare than make them do it.
Yeah... I remember walking several Miles with the huge bags of catfood to make sure Porcupine had food... and having failed to buy myself anything. =Þ

That's great! My cat lets me know exactly the moment her food dish has a clear spot in the center! LOL! You might like this site. http://cutecatdata.blogspot.com/
Hahaha... as long as it's not 'Cat Before the Kids'. :D We adults usually need the break from food anyway, but our kids should always be more important than our pet.

ReplyDeleteYUP!!!! cat lovers....
DeleteLol. Sometimes? More often than not in my home :)
ReplyDeleteHaha...this is so true!!!
ReplyDeleteI've said for years: "I'll eat ramen every night to keep them well fed"!
ReplyDeleteI always have to make sure the kitties are taken care of before I can sit down to eat. :3
ReplyDeleteA hungry human is still not hungry enough to lick my eyelids in the night. Not so for the kitties.
ReplyDeleteI agree. I make sure my cats are taken care of before me.
