I still can't have a kitty at my place, but recently I sort of befriended a domestic cat that lives on a house two locals away from my gym, and while I wait for my bus ride he hangs out with me and depending on his mood we can play or compete who can meow longer. Indeed, some kittys just aren't that fond of petting, and that makes very special the brief moment they concede.
Usually, when cats give the belly, they're saying that they trust you enough to show you their weakness, but not inviting you to come right over and poke it. Some cats love belly rubs though.
My cat loves belly rubs, he climbs onto the bed snuggles against my leg at just the right place so my hand can rest on his tummy and scratch an rub. We fall asleep like that.
My ginger boy loves his belly rubbed an will lie there for however long u will do it- no claws, no teeth, and he will eventually fall asleep, he's perfect. :-D
I thought *I* was the only (blue) one that had a (pretty) cranky cat...! He is just a mortal trap! (and does this-belly-thing all the time) Now I do not feel alone, anymore. I love you♥ haha xD
..or else, I'll use my claws..hahaha
ReplyDeletebellehhhhh.

ReplyDeleteI like belly...moou..
ReplyDeleteOh yeah, we can so relate to this one! Our cat Cookie rolls over and gives you The Look, as if inviting a belly rub ...
ReplyDeleteand if you fall for it, BAM! Claws and Teeth to the hand!
Those little tummies are so. Soft! And if you can sneak in a snuggle with your face, oh my word it's totally worth having your eyes clawed out.
ReplyDeleteAs scared as I am to get my eyes clawed out I still go in for the full face plant on the tummy. Glad to see I'm not the only one living on the edge.
DeleteAger with all of the above
ReplyDeleteAnd then I will scratch you. You have been warned!
ReplyDeleteMOL...but where are the mouth-sharpies? ;)
ReplyDeleteI always get attack by them in the end... XD **purr**
