It's especially unsettling when they watch you clean their box.

Just a little FYI, my friends Renee and Kenny run a super cute bookstore in Singapore called Books Actually. They now carry the Cat Vs Human books! And every Wednesday they have special events. One of their events is with Cat Welfare Society, which starts on May 30 at 7:30 pm.

Find the kitty in the pic :)
My cats always mess up the litter box after I clean it.
ReplyDeleteMine do too. They love to dig for the sake of digging.
DeleteAnd I thought only my cats love digging just because they want to mess up something!
DeleteFavorite Jumbo Enclosed Litter Box Blue from Bizarkdeal
DeleteThese are great! I have two large male cats and they spray the back of the box; the high rear wall of these boxes keeps liquid from escaping and running down the exterior. In addition, the clear tops allow me to see the boxes' contents for thorough scooping without the extra step of removing the lids. And the cats seem to enjoy the increased visibility as well as the extra-large size.
NOTE: I received this product at a discount for sharing my unbiased experience.
One of mine doesn't even bury the dumps, she goes all noise and show of digging and covering but it's all empty air coz when we inspected her work, there they are, those fresh, steaming, glistening piles of cat poo, uncovered for all and sundry.
ReplyDeleteWife remarked that it reminded her of certain people in the office LOL!
Yup! Mine does that too :/
Delete"reminded her of certain people in the office LOL!"
O_o
Yea, as in all show but no substance...
DeleteOh I thought you referred to her coworkers' toilet habits. Lol!
Deletelolwut haha, even if she knew, she's not telling...HAHA
Deletemy cat likes a special kind of litter but loves dirt above all else lol
ReplyDeleteMy cat will use his litter box then get out of the litter box and try to dig the floor... he isn't particularly bright!
ReplyDeleteHAHA! MINE TOO!!
DeleteExactly what my cat does! Then she goes over to her food bowl and digs the ground around that too!
DeleteKing Fred definitely appreciates a clean box, and will watch while I clean it out, and then usually uses it straight away.
ReplyDeleteLove the name! My cat is named Taco Fred but sometimes I call him king taco :)
DeleteMy cat always watches me cleaning its shit and in the meantime it brushes My hair with its claws from above.
ReplyDeleteWhat's more disturbing is when they catch you cleaning the litter box because they've come into the room to use it... AWKWARD
ReplyDeleteThat's not as awkward as when they use the litter box just as you're cleaning it! I can't figure out if it's because they really don't give a shit (!) or because they can't hold it. But yeah, there have been times I've just dug the scooper in and one of my cats comes jogging into the bathroom and straight into the box. "Really? Really?!"
DeleteMy cat always cleans her paws against the rug or wall or whatevers nearest, after she has used the litter box.
ReplyDeleteMy cat does that too! He just wipes his little paws on the surfaces next to his litter box.
DeleteHi, Yas ^_^! Well, we can say it is a funny way of see it. Can you believe that my Odiseo does his things in the very moment I finish to clean the box! And even when the door is open. He enters, he comes of being playing outside to do his things! Why doesn't he do them outside?? Maybe I'm spoiling him ^_^
ReplyDeleteI guess my kitties are spoiled. After getting a third kittie, my husband and I decided to get a Litter Robot. It is the best money I have ever spent.
ReplyDeleteMiyu loves to clean her paws on my white upholstered vanity stool after she does her business. (╥_╥)
The kitty was the first thing I found in the picture of the bookstore! :) Bowie always looks concerned when I clean the box. Almost as if he's saying, "What are you doing with my poop? I thought I hid it well!" He also goes in and immediately uses it after I clean out the box...
ReplyDeleteyeahhh my country! a trip there is in order.
ReplyDeleteOne of my babies likes to lay on my feet while I clean the box the other trys to walk in while I'm cleaning it.
ReplyDeleteMittens will not only sit and watch me, but as soon as I walk away she jumps right in. I don't even get to leave the room before she dirties it again.
ReplyDeleteHenry always tries to take a nap in the newly-cleaned litter box.
ReplyDeleteOne of my foster kittens would go and roll in the freshly cleaned litter box and throw the litter all over the place! And of course they always watch me! And some of my foster cats even jump in the litter box with me still cleaning it!
ReplyDeleteKimberly
lolz He stares when I clean it! XD
ReplyDeleteHahaha, I know I hate it! Especially when they use RIGHT after I cleaned it -_-
ReplyDeletePooping outdoors is for the birds.
ReplyDeleteMy youngest sometimes doesn't wait for me to finish cleaning the litter before he gets in to use it.
ReplyDeleteGot the cat, very cute sitting there!!
ReplyDeleteI thought he was staff! My parents ran a craft shop when I was little and our moggie Cat would sleep in the window every day. We had to put a sign there saying 'Sorry, Cat is not for sale. But free cat hair with every purchase' =^.^=
DeleteMy gosh I thought I was alone. My 18lb cat sits on the windowsill and glares down at me condesendingly while I clean his litter box. If he's in a good mood he paws at me but I'm not sure if it's an 'I love you' or a 'scoop faster servant'....
ReplyDeleteI love your timely additions every few days. they're always hilarious and brighten my day so thank you and great job! :)
ReplyDelete***YUP!***
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, our tortleshell loves to prance through all of the boxes right after they've been cleaned. Did she? Didn't she? Only a re-scoop will reveal ;(
Fun cat story!
ReplyDeleteI live in Singapore...I'll go check them out. Thanks for the info.
ReplyDeleteShela
My cats insist on getting in the litterbox and doing their buisness while I clean the box
ReplyDeleteOurs takes a dump immediately after his litterbox is cleaned, just so you can clean it TWICE in a row.
