When my cat was younger, we could play fetch with him when we learned that he liked to leave his toys in a bowl... so we'd put a bowl on the floor next to us and throw him a ball. This stopped after the nearest bowl he could find one day was his water dish. The other cat didn't like things in his water dish, so he took the ball out and left it in front of the bathroom door while I was in the shower. Did I mention these balls were highly absorbent? *squelch*
My kitty brings me ponytail holders...she loves them. She only wants you to throw them in the kitchen where she can slide, though. She will bring them to me and if I ignore her, she will slap me on the cheek. :3
Lol!my cat just wants to play ball when it's really late and night and she goes running and jumping like crazy, making lots of noise...my neighbours love us :( But she does bring the ball back again, and again, and again, and again...
When my cat Munchkin was a kitten she used to love playing fetch and she would actually bring the ball back and drop it near me or my wife so we could throw it for her again. On the other hand I have never had a dog that would return the toy while playing fetch. lol
All of my cats have never brought it back either, except one of my moms cats. When you threw it he would try to grab it with his claw. Then pick it up with his mouth and bring it back to you! So funny!
My dog played fetch a couple of times when she was younger, then she realized it was a dumb game. Then she played "fetch and steal" where you played fetch with another dog and then she would steal the ball from the other dog. After awhile she got bored with that game to. She's like YOU threw it, YOU get it bitch.
My kitty does return the ball I throw her, but only when I'm in bed reading and she knows that is the only way I'll throw it. She brings it in her mouth and drops it by my side :)
my Tobias LOVES fetch. he always brings the ball back. if i'm on the computer he will drop the ball at my feet and bash his head against my knee, scratch my leg and scream at me until i throw it.. he can go for hours.. sometimes i wish he'd just walk away from the ball.. especially at 2am..
Neurotic Beagle...I have known none of those. But I once knew an Inglee who was very neurotic. And he lived in Toronto and then lived in Ottawa and somehow got into the mob. And so did his brother. Then, they both sold explosives. In " together land". And what is " incredible" is that Hollywood came knocking with all the mafia in Governments. And Robert Gates and Oliver North and Karl Rove along with Jeb Bush, all got involved. That's what the blogs are saying. And they also say that Northern Ontario is into it ,too. Hicks. Racists. Aryans. Pedophiles. Drug addicts. Rappers. Stars. You name it. It's all rings, and cones and arks. And ,the thing is, it's with the Queen. It's called SUPPEN?
My cat Domino used to fetch the ball and bring it back to you. He did so many things that were not cat-like. I think he had an identity crisis and really thought he was a dog. It was definitely entertaining!
My cat Hobbes will play fetch with me, but only with brand new mouse toys that he hadn't yet chewed the tails off of. And he refuses to do it with other people watching, so everyone I've told about this skill thinks I'm crazy.
My dad's cat can fetch. He loves it. Usually a candywrapper or a piece of paper. And he manages to look so proud like he has just done a somersault backwards while reciting alphabets backwards. But when me or mom try same he just looks like we are insane. I guess he is a chauvinist-kitty and don't like to be told by us womenfolk lol.
Really nice blog! I love it >*.*< This is my dear cat, Moshi-Moshi: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rRjkWkQUaJk&feature=plcp&context=C3e458baUDOEgsToPDskL4A5GXQS4LwQV8FpmINv2P
Dont tell my kitties they aren't suppose to do this, but they sit on command, jump up on command, get down as requested, fetch, and unfortunately work the darn doorknobs at the most inconvenient time when company is over. :/ And they sure dont sleep during the day. I find evidence of their adventures while I was gone. The hurl ball conveniently disguised as a messed up carpet, fang holes in the nectarines, Toys in the fish bowl, the fridge was raided once. They are just a bunch of three year olds. :l ... But I love em more than life!! :D
I managed to teach my roommates cat to play catch! But only with crumpled paper balls; he seriously won't go near anything you'd actually spend money on (not... for lack of trying on our end though X.X)
EY! son gatos...no perros, los gatos no están para traernos cosas, nosotros somos su servidumbre LOL me gustan mucho tus historias. Yo tengo 2 gatos: Romeo y Julieta
Then an hour later, she'll bring me a sock that will be lost forever.
