They’re very particular with their food.

Side note:
•A little preview of an upcoming project
•Also, I sometimes post non-cat related comics in my G+

  1. awww reminds me of my aunt who use to cook all her's cats food from scratch :)

  2. My cats refuse wet food! They lap up all of the gravy and always leave everything else behind.

  3. My kitties are the same way.

  4. Ha, that's exactly what used to happen with my cat -- he'd look at me like I was a shoddy servant until I'd cut the food into tiny chunks. LOL

  5. My old lady-cat, Pixie, is exactly like that. If I don't squish it, she won't eat it.

  6. My cat will wake me up in the middle of the night because his kibble is not'fresh enough'. Then I just need to put in 3-4 pieces of fresh food and he'll eat it all up. He just needs to smell the freshness. Stupid cat

  7. You'd swear one of mine had starved to death in a previous life...if the dry food is pushed up on the sides, and he can see any part of the bottom of the bowl, he will follow you around and meow as loudly as possible (or wake you up in the middle of the night) until you shake the food bowl to cover the bottom, or add more, if needed. You can usually just shake it and then he's fine...silly cat!

  8. LMAO, I looked at the other comic and read the comments. Glad to see I'm not the only person that does stuff like that! I think one time I responded "Oh, no thanks" when someone said "Have a nice day!" *facepalm*

Do you post those comics on a facebook feed as well, or only on G+?

  10. This reminds me of Eve, when ever she ate wet food (which she hardly ever did), I would have to mash it, and then spread it out. Eve in the end stopped eating wet food and loved eating tuna and dry food :P

  11. An older woman friend of mine used to have to give her cat "forkies". She would crouch on the floor and put the food on a fork, from which her cat would then, and only then, eat.

  12. We have a cat who sometimes wants mashed and sometimes not, but *randomly* decides that he wants to eat off the floor instead of out of his bowl. The bad days he'll let the other cat eat his food if it's not on the floor.

  13. I don't know why but I think kittie lil tongue in the last panel soooo cute. :cutenesscombustion:

  14. Hey don't feed your cat on the table! One day he'll have to stay at friends and he'll pretty much live on their tables, and they will be driven to madness. (speaking from current experience)

  15. hahah even the outdoor stray cats like their food mashed for them. Silly kitties so cute.

  16. Lol! This is so my little Spocky. :D

  17. My cats refuse to eat dry food if the bowl is half empty. So I fill it up, only after that it's eatable for my boys. :D

  18. OMG, this is so true! My cat does exactly the same thing~~My husband used to think I'm so silly for mashing up his wet food every time...then he learned from the cat that my way is much better...:P

  19. I always mash my kitties' food up & microwave it before I give it to them. I only feed wet food as a treat so I figure why not go all out. :3

    ReplyDelete
  20. Hahahahaha ... that is true!!
And do not ever want to taste the same =/

  21. Yep. I have gotten some real looks form my cats if I do not give them their food the correct way.

  22. i love these comics. makes me feel a little normal and not like such a crazy cat lady lol. i have one cat who will only eat the "meaty bits" kind of wet food, not the pate. and she'll only eat the seafood varietys. my other cat will eat just about anything, besides human food, and refuses to eat off your hands lol

  23. OH! I feel so much better knowing that I'm not the only one who has to smoosh the food before serving.

I have another cat who insists having a little water stirred and mixed in with one of her cat foods.

I would grant them requests for fillet mignon and lobster if they requested.

  24. Oh, my cat is TOTALLY particular about her food! We have to warm it up to soften it, then we have to water it down a bit and mush it around.

  25. Mine do not accept mashed, but it cannot be still in pouch shape either. It must be in chunks of 1 to 2 cm sq. or kitties refuse to eat and Mummy gets punished with the noisy wailing again.

  26. I literally have to point to the food in order for my kitty Juice to eat it. She pretends not to notice and starts to walk away until I say, "here it is!" and point at it. Then she turns right around, heads back, and eats it. So odd!

  27. Mine won't eat canned food without shredded cheese on top. Preferably the fine stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  28. One of mine will only eat 'fresh' food - even though he only eats dry food.
If the dish already has food in it I have to pretend to throw it away and put new in his bowl.

    ReplyDelete
  29. We give our kitty raw food every so often as a supplement to her diet... she is now convinced I am hiding it in the fridge all the time and meows like crazy in front of it, whether we have any or not. She even will jump in there when I open it. She's like a crazed little beast.

  30. In addition to the mashing requirement (and refusal to eat anything but a pate - no chunks, slices, shreds or anything "in sauce," thank you very much, the consistency and texture must be uniform), one of my cats requires me to pick him up and set him down in front of his food bowl. Even if he is standing right in front of it, he will stand there and whimper until I pick him up and set him back down first.

The other cat will eat about half of hers, then will not eat any more until I push what's in the bowl back together into a mound and take it to her, wherever she is waiting (nearby, of course, because she's not actually done). Then she'll finish it.

This post and its comments have made me feel much better, not just about my cats, but my willingness to indulge them in their quirks.

  31. My girl Ruby will only and *only* eat the tiny little "Gourmet" brand tins by Nestlé, and only if they are the mousse ones, goddess forbid chunks or gravy, oh no!

My boy Spider will only eat from certain plates. Can´t be plastic or metal, must be glass or ceramic.

My boy Lugosi? Apart from being a feline dustbin, he´s pretty "normal" with his eating habits!

Well, I got 1 out of 3, haha.

  32. Oh, that "YOU eat this, stupid human" look... Here, my 4 cats are all about tuna, but it must be the right brand and type, served the same way on the same spot everyday, otherwise they won't eat.

  33. I see myself in every comic you make. Guess we're really all alike when it comes to cats : ) x

  34. Hard to take that first bite if it's not smushed into bite-size bits. Who wants gushifudz all over his or her nose???

    ReplyDelete
  35. LOL pure reality . Add you as favourite

    ReplyDelete
  36. Girl, you are right on with this! My cats always have to have their food mashed. They just like to be the one in control...

    ReplyDelete
  37. Can really relate, there must be something about the gelatinous circles that form on top they cant get their heads round.

    ReplyDelete
  38. One of mine (when I used to give them wet food), wouldn't eat the 'pate' kind, even if I mashed it. She just had to have the chunky gravy kind. Luckily I got her off wet food, though she'll only eat Purina kitten chow now, and she's 3 years old!

  39. When dad is having a sausages and puts a little piece on cat's bowl,he won't want it. But he will gladly take a piece that's been on my dad's mouth. I guess cat thinks he is his birdmommy.
