Haha I totally know how that is! My cat Cupcake sleeps on a certain pillow alll the time and I lint rolled it today just for her to lay back down. Love and Turtledoves, Jacqueline
the cats like to sleep around our heads at night and my fiance is constantly pulling cat hairs out of his beard. We joke he is saving them for later. soo cute <3
Bahaha I've totally lint rolled my cat. No matter how much I brush him he still manages to leave a layer of cat hair wherever he goes. If he wasn't terrified of the vacuum, I'd use that on him too.
One of ours is a Cornish Rex- he sheds of course but you have to look for it with a magnifying glass! Our other kid is a very large ASH mix though... So she sheds her double coat enough for both of them. But cat hair = love!
Haha, that's just how I look right at the moment, preparing to go to work. Lint rollers? No chance at all. I have three Kitties, and Mirie, my Norwegian forest cat, has enough fur for all the lint rollers in the world, I guess.
Hah, I spent 25 minutes today removing months worth of cat fur from a chair that no one (except the cats) ever sits on. The lint roller was the final step. So this feels highly relevant to my life...
Haha! Cats love sweaters, especially when they're clean... Take a look at my blog and adopt a bear! http://www.funkysunday.com/2011/05/doudou-funky-bobby.html
I don't mind cat fur on my clothes, to be honest. :) I go to work with cat fur sticking on my office dresses and doggy scratches on my legs. I don't mind that.
I just try to wear lightly colored clothing, so it's hard to see the hair. What I hate the most is when one of the cats with lots of white fur wants to sit on my chest - for some reason, it seems that white fur flies out of cats' bodies fastest. It always ends up stuck to my lip balm.
With 33 cats, I've accepted the fur-covered things, but I'd like to keep my nostrils and lips clear. I don't think that's too much to ask.
33 cats! That's... Are you sure they're all cats and not just bundles of loose fur shed by the other cats?
That said, I have found a way to repay my beloved fuzzbundles for all the shedding on my clothes. I wash the cats' favourites all together with a bit of extra fabric softener. Then when the cats sleep on them, they come away soft and lavender-scented.
Try a kitty mitten up your nose at 3am. For some reason my KittyMittens (1 mo old) was chasing an imaginary kitty thing all over my head. Apparently she caught it, because she was nestled under my chin fast asleep when I woke up this morning.
flippyO -- you are so right about lip balm! It's a cat magnet -- especially for those of us who can't resist the irresistible, kissing on our cats all the time! Hey, I LIKE some soft, beautiful fluffs on my clothes. ;)
Ha! It seems like once you have cats, you become immune to the whole hair-on-the-sweater thing... but I can totally see my non-cat-lover friends being grossed out!
I've a friend who is badly allergic to cats, but she LOVES 'em so much she has one! She loves my cat, a British Shorthair, and despite the bad allergies she gets when she (forcefully) cuddles her, she doesn't care and continues to rub her face into her soft, think fur :D Her whole face turns red, starts to sniffle etc etc but she just can't resist them! That's some kind of crazy cat person (:
my sister is the same way. she's staying with me for a bit, but she gets the sniffles from my cats. and the kitties LOVE hanging out with her on her bed. so my sister has to take allergy pills so she wouldn't get sick :/
Hi Yasmine, I stumbled upon your blog and I just to let you know I love love your comic strips and can relate so much to my 3 kitties at home!
I am also a victim of cat allergies but I rather invest time in vaccuming the floor, combing these furballs and popping the allergy pills then to let them go. :)
I really like your strips and had shared 1 of it on my blog, linking to your site and crediting it as well. hope you don't mind.
A piece of tuck tape - the red stuff used in building homes - folded over makes a wonderfully sticky, cheap lint brush. I've found vacuum, fuzzy lint brush, and tape (in that order) works pretty well. A furminator or similar is pretty good for addressing the problem at the source, too.
I only get little annoyed when I'm wearing black, and after I clean all the clothes and I'm ready to leave the house, my cat (with her soft white hair) decides to give me a little last goodbye and goes round my legs, leaving my black jeans all white and needing to be clean again... -.-
What?! I see no problem with that sweater. All the sweaters here look exactly like that!
ReplyDeletehaha! i know. it's a given.

ReplyDeleteThere are those days, when I'm thiiiiis close to lint rolling the cat instead.
ReplyDeleteBahaha I've totally lint rolled my cat. No matter how much I brush him he still manages to leave a layer of cat hair wherever he goes. If he wasn't terrified of the vacuum, I'd use that on him too.
ReplyDeleteBut I still love him more than most people.

ReplyDeleteWe lint roller our cat. He gets insanely excited if the Lint roller come out and bounds around and purrs. It's very odd.
ReplyDeleteit's why it's called fur-niture!!!

It doesn't help that a lot of my clothes are black! I always feel like a crazy cat lady going out into public. I can never get the hairs off.
