This is the photo that inspired my comic. You've probably seen this already if you're in my FB.

Bracing myself.

It was one of the photo outtakes for the bio part of my upcoming book. I have hundreds of photos from that set, and this is probably one of the, um, better ones.

Money (grey) and Shelley (orange creamsicle) are actually okay with one another. They're not affectionate with one another and they are dominant types. But they both adore Dumpling (the big baby on my side bar).

  1. Has Wonky Kitten been renamed Dumpling or did I miss something?

  3. This is so true! Whenever I try to get my bf to take a 'loving' picture of me and my big kitty Murphy it has to be quick or he starts struggling for freedom and this is what ends up on the camera, hence only 1% have ever been successful ;-)

  8. If said cats have accessories on them too, all you are left with is scratches and the glasses/hat in your hand!

  15. Hello there me and my boyfriend just found out about your comics, and since yesterday we read them all. We are also crazy about cats. I noticed that few times you mentioned issues with drinking of your cats, that they drink from everything, but their bowl. We had similar problem with Morgan. We solved it by buying water fountain. Now the cat drinks only from there. And before i had to give him water with a teaspoon from faucet, or from my hands, just like you do.

  16. Awe, this is a great picture! :D I came from Argentina with my cat Dimitri and when he met his new brother Dante, I thought they were never going to like each other. It's been over a month now and they're still not friends but at least they don't hiss anymore ... I wonder whether they will enjoy each other's company one day ...

    Have a nice week!

    Miki.

  17. thanks guys! xo

oh, my cats money and shelley took about a month to be okay with one another. but with dumpling? it was only a matter of days. they love their new buddy.

  18. Good luck holding two cats at once...

Miki - it can take months or years before some cats become real friends. Adding another cat may actually help, if it's the right cat, done carefully.
