My human says this was totally her when she was a kid. Not necessarily cats, but anything that breathed and was not human. Of course, she eventually wised up and focused on cats.
that photo is precious...you weren't "awkward" I would prefer to call it "gifted"....you were a creative, insightful and sensitive soul...it was the OTHERS who were awkward my dear, not YOU!
Reminds me of some photos I've seen of my wife when she was a kid, with her cats. She's always had cats too. I had a cat once when I was kid, in Germany. I only vaguely remember it and when we moved I don't know what happened to it. I'm afraid to ask.
Are you my clone sister??? Your cats are gorgeous! But then, that's an oxymoron ;) Caren G. is right. Biohazard, are you male, breathing, and single? ;)
My mom used to work all the time so I spent most of my younger years watching cartoons with my cat Charles. (I named him after Charles in Charge...I was 4 don't judge me.) He was a fluffy brown tabby -like yours- and my best friend!
well, I sympathize with you...my grandmother even gave me a threat;she will throw my cats away when I reach the age of 25 without a boyfriend...apparently she noticed that my world revolves around my cats and I do not have any plans of engaging in a romantic relationship with anyone..harhar
aww...Your kitties are so cute, it makes my heart melt ~<3

You are a cute kid. ^-^ Smokey was a beautiful cat. I'm sure you aren't as socially awkward as you think you are. XD
ReplyDeleteOh, this was totally me growing up. I could make entire scrapbooks of all the pictures of me with strange animals...cats, dogs, whatever.
ReplyDelete(My brother fondly remembers family vacations like this:
Christa: Ooooh, look! *runs to animal*
Dad: Christa, stay away from that (insert animal species here)! Christa! Don't go near--Christa! CHRISTA! Grrrrr.)

ReplyDeletethe photo looks great, very nostalgic, the cat reminds me of a time when we had 3 generations of gray cats. And your cat looked like a pusakal...
