I was once read that cats are actually aliens from a different planet and their spaceship is like the TARDIS in that it blends into the environment and it became a cardboard box... and you know humans can leave boxes around the house very long so they have to jump in each one hoping to find their ship to go home for a bit.. which is where your kitty is when you can't find them for a while..
