My cat sits on the counter while I'm showering or doing my make-up :3 If I walk into the bathroom to do my make-up, he runs after me to jump up on the counter.
Hi, Yas! I had a male cat called OriĆ³n who liked to watch me change my clothe, so he saw me naked too many times; I used to think he wants and desires me, hi hi hi ^^
I had a ginger (named Beer) who had to sit on the side of the bath when I showered - close enough to get wet too. He got very upset if I showered in the shower stall and he couldn't join in!
I'm sure your kitty likes the company and is curious about what you're doing. One of my cats likes to get closer and closer to the water until I scare her away in fear that she will actually jump or fall in the bath and scratch me in the process.
Every cat I have ever shared my life with has been obsessed with goings on in the bathroom. We had one little cat whom if you locked her out of the bathroom while you were in there, she would toss herself against the door trying to get in.
Sometimes, when I'm washing my face my buff DSH will jump on the (closed) toilet and ask me for a *bath*. I run a warmed dampened washcloth down his back and up his chest and he goes into an all out bathing routine while I finsih washing my face and put on my makeup. He's the only one out of four that does this. :)
One of my cats likes to sit on my lap when I"m wrapped in my towel after I get out of the shower or the bathtub. For some cats there is something incredibly compelling about the mix of damp towel and warm body. This is the same cat that likes to watch me bathe. I always read that as: "Ok, let me know when you're done."
Oh my goodness I totally blogged about that (http://mayorgia.blogspot.com/2011/12/kitty-chroncles-my-sisters-cats-are.html)! Cats are so creepy-cute sometimes!
Moxie, my current DSH, seems to be afraid of the shower -- back, water! get back! -- so she'll back off from the spray, just a bit, then inch forward again, and back and forward, back and forward again. She's not so much afraid of it, I think, but daring it. 'You can't get me! :-P'
As for bath vs. shower cats, I once had a DSH named Boo who loved water so much that she'd be there when I started filling the tub, wait until it was done, then climb in and start paddling up and back and about. This was a cat who needed a snorkel! :-D
I have 3 cats: Pizzicato 4 years old, Zappa 3 years old and Aria 8 months! They love playing in the bathtub(without water of course) and they love sitting in the edge of the bathtub when i am taking my bathe. I think that they like to watch the foam..
One cat sits on the edge of the tub between the shower curtain and shower liner while I shower. The other sits on the bed in my bedroom and stares in to the bathroom at me while I shower.
Our sweet eldest boy once jumped in the tub, he was so fascinated. He then shot out of the tub like he'd been fired from a cannon and I had to run and catch him in a towel to rub him dry. He never tried that again. Our current eldest male just sits on the bath rug and watches me. :)
My cats are shower stalkers. Sometimes they even block the glass door and refuse to let me out. Do you think they are trying to tell me something about my hygiene - ha, ha? Great cartoon as usual.
Mine always tries to sneak into the bathroom when I'm using it. I'm always WHY DO YOU WANT TO WATCH ME DO THIS? And then she comes in anyway and wraps herself around my legs and purrs and makes things all awkward-like.
I have two cats and they are always in the bathroom while I'm taking a bath. One time one of them jump to the border when the other was drinking hot water (he loves to do it) and both of them fall into the bath XD! I almost cry laughing XD
Mine are just fascinated that I wash myself in the WATER. *gasp* THE HORRORS!
ReplyDeleteMy cat used to do this, until he got a little too curious about why I was always in the bath. Now he's afraid of the bathroom.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing my cats are afraid of when I'm in the bathroom is the fan.

ReplyDeleteSo adorable!
DeleteI always wonder the same thing... why do they love to watch us bathe?
ReplyDeleteMine is starting to clean herself too, when she sees me taking a shower.

ReplyDeleteWe got a clear vinyl shower curtain liner so the kids could hop in between the curtain and the evil, evil water to keep an eye on us.
ReplyDeleteMine even hangs out when I'm in the shower. Super strange! I think they like that the room is super warm, what with all the hot water and all.

They never fall (glide) in the water ? My Ziggy HATES water and runs away when I shower. But he loves napping in the (dry) shower ...

First they love it... then they fall into the water and we never see them in the bathroom again :)
ReplyDeleteMy tuxedo, Sabrina, fell in the tub while I was bathing so now she won't go into the bathroom. She will wait for me outside the bathroom door, though.
ReplyDeleteThat´s the question!
ReplyDeleteYou're so amazing!
ReplyDeleteI love all your works!
