I loved it! :D
My god this is so cute! I loveeeee it Yasmine :D
sniff - sniff XD Awesome!
Thanks guys! xo
In reality, the girl should have been the calico, male calicos are genetically incredibly hard/rare to get. XD
Nice to know! That makes him extra unique then! :)
As someone who studied cats for a degree in genetics I was thinking the same thing. Maybe a Kleinfelter male (XXY). He would have been sterile anyways. haha.
I'm so glad someone else commented on this! I was thinking the exact same thing about about a calico male being rare and sterile. Gotta love genetics! :)
B-but it's very rare for a calico to be a male...! He must be very special! XD
I think so :)
very special.... and sterile. no little kittens for them. a male calico technically has klinefelter's and carries two x chromosomes and a y. but also, super cute and i love the longer comics.
Neat! And thanks!
Oops, your title page doesn't have 'and' in 'The Princess and the Calico'! Love love loved it <3 <3
Haha! Thank you! Geez. I must be tired :/
Yaay, it looks extra pro and sparkly now. Hope you get some rest x.x.
Aww I loved it, even if I did guess the ending :D
So cute! xD
Oh my gosh i loved it!!!! :D
I TOTALLY loved it!!! You are absolutely great. We want more (I think you are making us a little too addicted to your work! :)
I love this!Always brightens up my day when there's a new Cat vs Human :D
Haha, I love all the comments about male calicos. I have a male calico, and he's my little freak of nature.
Wow they are very special!
Wow, that was amazing!blueeyednightowl.blogspot.com/
I don't have kids yet, but I promise to show them that comic when I get one ! :)
My favorite part: when the calico prince is hiding behind the curtain and "WHY IS HE SO DISTANT?"
Simply brilliant! Your comics always brighten my day! :)
Gah, Loved it. Yes your longer ones are always super awesome!
Love the calico comments too! I have a female, and couldn't figure put why my vet never checked her gender.
I realy like these longer comics <3 :D
What a great (and ADORABLE) story, Yasmin! I feel like it's mine... :)
I have a long haired calico and I love this story so much! Please publish this into a book, I would buy instantly!
Love it from start to floofy-tailed finish! And aren't you lucky, Laura, to have a "freak of nature" male calico! :)
I love the calico prince's expression in the scene where she first finds him, and his adorable little crown <3
Oh it's such a lovely story and I like so much your way of drawing :) I have a calico and she's my love :)
Calicos are almost always girls...
That's my kind of fairy tale.
OMG this was amazing! Absolutely loved it!
This is so cute! Loved it! :)
You must have two X chromosomes to be a calico. Bar bodies. Learn about them.
Thanks Yasmine! Brilliant!
Anereble!I also tought Calico cats were exclusively female. Apparently it IS possible but then the male is sterile. " One main exception to this is when, in rare cases, a male has XXY chromosomes (see Klinefelter's syndrome), in which case the male could have tortoiseshell or calico markings. Male calico or tortoiseshell cats are sterile due to the abnormality of carrying two X chromosomes. "Buy I guess in fairy princess world, anything is possible. Rock on! :3
What a fun and unexpected ending~
a calico prince..u are so rare..and u princess are so lucky..hahaha
Your comics are so awesome. I love them!.
Very cute. But I most point out...Calicos are almost always FEMALE! The rare males are infertile as well. Maybe you should've made him Orange since those are usually male and you could've made him with red hair in the end.
I love it! I wish people would skim the comments before making a correction for the hundredth time though. Interesting fact to be reminded of, but also, seeing a rare Calico male makes it cuter. :)
If I ever have kids THIS is the bedtime story they're getting every....single...night- LOVE IT!
wow....this was lovely, enjoyed it a lot..keep postin!barbed wire
i think that the fact that the prince is a calico gives a twist to the plot 'cause he really IS a femaleand that's why he(she) is distant and the words of the fairy: "well maybe it's because you can't force yourself to be someone you're not", are not referring to the princess but to the prince insteadthe ambiguity is even greater since when turned back to feline form he(she) really turns into a female cat (and with no depiction of genitals we can assume that), thus giving the princess a new path of discovery for her own sexualityand since he/she wears a crown, does that mean that the princess will be in a submissive role in a LGBT relationship?that gives an even darker tone..
So cute! I loved it! Specially the part where the Calico Prince is hissing behind the curtains.... LOLSo funny!xoxo
you know calicos are always female, right?
Haha, soo nice!
