And with the help of her kitty friend, she builds an army made of discarded robot scraps and they take over the world. But this will probably be another comic :)
love this so much! i think the morale of the story is to love a cat 8) but then again, i think that's the morale to every story... thanks for the cheer, Yasmine! <3<3<3<3
Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww sooooo cute, but the best part is "And with the help of her kitty friend, she builds an army made of discarded robot scraps and they take over the world. But this will probably be another comic :)"
Your comic really touched me. I agree with the person above who said the morale of the story is to love a cat. You never know how that act will change the world and yourself.
Longtime reader, first time commenting... this was so beautiful I got misty :) Perfect metaphor for how our kitty friends can help us put ourselves back together. Thanks for your wonderful comics!
Sadly sweet - this would make a beautiful animated short, too! I'd love to see this little robot and her kitty friend's continued adventures together. Love!
I love ALL your comics, they brighten up my life. Awhile back my kitty died and my mom doesn't want another one :'(. So it's great to see all this happiness, it just warms me right up in the heart! Thank you :)
*tears!* And :) at the ending -- I want to join them! Wurruld domination we can has!?! I love the comments from Anonymouses, too, about compassion over consumerism, and about loving cats. *A CAT IS LOVE MADE VISIBLE*! This is my favorite of all of your entries so far, Yasmine :)
Awwu! So cute! I think the only thing better would be if the robot looked even more human..but then you're getting into darker metaphors and such.. As it is, it's very simple to grasp and really activates some primal emotions; no one wants to be discarded just cos they're not young/good/active/whatever enough anymore. This was a lovely Saturday Morning surprise!
Really full of insight here... to keep and appreciate what we have, that animals see the TRUE value in all of us. This is a beautiful beautiful comic, very special, Thank you for sharing.... <3
This is perfect. I'm a cat person and I do sci fi. I did a shortfilm about a robogirl https://vimeo.com/47990034 I've never done a story with both subjects. Thank you.
i loved it !! poor little robot :( but she has a kitty friend!

ReplyDeletepls make a happy sequel, pls pls pls!!!
Beautifully done. Not only should there be a sequel, but this would be a great regular comic!
ReplyDelete...and the world they build would be one that is based not on consumption but on compassion and respect for all beings.
ReplyDeletelove this so much! i think the morale of the story is to love a cat 8) but then again, i think that's the morale to every story... thanks for the cheer, Yasmine! <3<3<3<3

ReplyDelete"And with the help of her kitty friend, she builds an army made of discarded robot scraps and they take over the world. But this will probably be another comic :)"
Cats will take over the world, I am sure of that :)
DeleteSo sad for little robot; but as is ever true, it takes a cat to see the heart, soul, and character of a being. Terrific. Happy Thanksgiving, Yasmine.
ReplyDeleteYour comic really touched me. I agree with the person above who said the morale of the story is to love a cat. You never know how that act will change the world and yourself.
ReplyDeletePerfect. Love, betrayal and redemption.
ReplyDeleteD'aww.
ReplyDeletePoor little robot! Your long comics are always very heartwarming. It's always fun to read them!
ReplyDeleteSo that's how cats took over the world! O: ... This explains a lot :D
ReplyDeleteThis is soo cute! Thank you and happy thanksgiving!

Thank you.
PS Love the aerial image of the truck speeding away with the cat clinging to it.

ReplyDeleteAwww...I love this comic so much!
ReplyDeleteWow! That could be a major film right there. The story of poor little robot girl and her kitty. Awwww.
ReplyDeleteSo, that's how the Matrix trilogy started? :P
ReplyDeleteLove it! Yeah, they could take over the world and be the "new model" of humans, replacing the old ;)
ReplyDeleteSo sad to get rid of such a cute robot.
ReplyDeleteThis is the best one you have drawn. It actually has a story!
ReplyDeleteThis was just so... adorable. Keep up great work Yasmine and happy thanksgiving to you.. and for your cats of course! :)
ReplyDeleteThis made me happy and sad at the same time. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteSadly sweet - this would make a beautiful animated short, too! I'd love to see this little robot and her kitty friend's continued adventures together. Love!
ReplyDeleteThe setting reminded me of a really sad light novel I once read, "Iris on Rainy Days". Awesome comic, hoping for a continuation.
ReplyDeleteAlso, Happy Thanksgiving!
It is so sad, but truth hurts sometimes. We discard things very easily and sometimes relations are thrown away too, way too fast.
ReplyDeleteI wonder what "attachments" the male robot comes with, no wonder the husband didn't like it, LOL! A wonderful little comic!
ReplyDeleteI love ALL your comics, they brighten up my life. Awhile back my kitty died and my mom doesn't want another one :'(. So it's great to see all this happiness, it just warms me right up in the heart! Thank you :)

ReplyDeleteThis made me cry!!!! ;___________; poor little robot! Glad her kitty friend never gave up on her!
ReplyDeleteKitten Finds Robot! What a marvelous twist on the old classic:
ReplyDeletehttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robotfindskitten
Also, it is a sad commentary on that loveless home full of cold, uncaring humans where the only love a cat can get comes from a machine.
Well cant find the number...
