Didnt happen to me. My male cat knows very well whats food is. My hair absolutely isn't food, he hates it!!! We play a kind of game, or it is so to me: i beat him in his face, and when he tries to do the same with me in the same moment, he meets with my hair and he stops beating immediatly. It is kind of disgusting to him. LOVE YOUR COMIC!!! P.s.: He does eat, or play, with insects. I hate that, because i love to kiss him, but he is so playfull, so immature, and i love that too, so i have to let him play that way. :-* kiss!!!
we had an older long hair domestic that died in like, 06'. After his death, our younger one would find clumps of his furr on the carpet here and there and eat them. I was like...is that food?!
in the end I wasn't sure to be worried or sad when she did this
I wake up to my cat sitting on my pillow and eating my hair a few times a week. My vet actually told me that my cat probably considers me part of his amily pack and is trying to groom me. I just think henlikes he smell of my shampoo.
My cat is an absolute Nom-Monster when it comes to my hair! If I don't have it tied back and lean over to pat him, he nom nom noms on it immediately! He ADORES doing it. He tries to groom me too, but my hair is like a long, swinging toy to him. Another fantastic post, Yasmine. I love your huge floofy kitteh xoxo
I have the fattest cat. She eats everything. All she does is eat and sleep. I think if the food bowl was empty for longer than three hours (and her cries for more went ignored), she would try to eat our dog or two other cats and then start with us humans. :|
My cat used to think that all insects were food, but since a bee stung her into her right forefoot, she began to think twice before approach to sniff anything

Just found your book in a small town Australian bookstore & couldn't stop making my husband look at all the cartoons about "me" - of course I purchased it :)
My kitten eats everything even fluff. She scavenges for food after she has finished eating. She even insists on investigating my morning coffee 3 times before I'm allowed to finish drinking it. She's increased her size 5 fold since I got her!
While cleaning through my room, I found out that I bought your book a while ago! Haha I've been following your blog for a few months now, and I never made the connection that they were the same comics as the book...silly me. But please do keep up the funny goodness! They give me a fuzzy feeling inside :) hehe
I love how curious cats are about everything. Our cat loves to at least take a sniff of everything we have to see if she likes it haha maybe she's checking it to make sure it's safe for us to eat lol
My Leif has decided that anything shaped like string is food. Including my hair. Sometimes he discovers this while I'm in the bathroom. OR sleeping,at 3 am. He also weighs 19 pounds.
My mother's cat (Bubby) knows for a fact that all flies or other insects are food. Watching her catch flies in the house is actually high quality entertainment. She once ate a bee, and half of her head swelled up to twice it's normal size. Fortunately, there was no permanent damage... the vet gave her a shot, and the swelling went down remarkably quickly. She is more careful about bees now.
Is that the space cat god from kitten nightmares? lol!
ReplyDeleteIf the kitty is puffy in my comics, most likely.
DeleteCute! My cat thinks everything is food.
ReplyDeleteHe's a growing kitteh.
ReplyDeleteAnytime a human has something in their hands around their kitty, the kitty -always- thinks it's food and that it's for them. Always.
ReplyDeletethe spider cat looks just like my hamster who also thinks everything might be food and usually tastes my shirts just to be sure.

My cats know exactly what food is and what's not. And even then they are very picky. :-(
