They never go until you give them what they want--whatever it may be.

  1. They will keep you up all night with their wants and needs, then sleep all day with smug expressions on their faces.

  2. My cat did this just last night... and does it every night :/

  3. Like my boy. "I don't want to eat. I want you to watch me while I eat and I don't care that it's just 4am!!"

  4. My cat goes out of the house every time we ignore his meows. When he's a bit more persistent, he'd continuously brush his body against our legs till we give him what he wants (if we guess what it is).

    Mars of fashion insouciance

  5. The worst is when they start touching your face. As if meowing wasn't enough. Mewmewmew*touch*Mewmewmew

  6. Yup...my kitten will just sleep on my head and mew and my older man can will sit outside my door and howl or bat at the door until I get frustrated enough to let him out. Crazy creatures.

  11. they're not *that* cute when they nag you at 3 in the morning!

    okay, maybe they are.

  12. Oh my God, so true! They just wouldn't stop! My Siamese, Qish, would pounce on my chest, lick my face, slap my face (lightly and without claws), walk on my body back and forth, then meow loudly on my ear! They are so clever and manipulative!

  13. Interesting timing, just this morning one of my cats was going up and down the hall meowing continuously because no one was up yet to let him outside for his 6 am constitutional!

Usually someone is up by that point, usually my Dad, to let them outside. Me, I just grabbed my ear plugs and went back to sleep. ;>.> LOL

  15. hah! love this! My cat does this every morning and if his voice is not heard he begins to knock things off my night table.

    ReplyDelete
  16. are you serious? my cat does it every morning at 6am sharp! he usually doesn't give up and tries to put his paw into my face or my mouth to get some attention. talk about being annoying but you love him just the same!

  17. omg thats exactly my cat! if id ont give her what she wants she will try to open my drawer or closet or do things to wake me up

    ReplyDelete
  18. Grab em and give em a bear hug if that happens. They'll then run away once they're annoyed by it.

    Then they come back. O_O

  19. when my cat is like that she want cuddles and kisses

    ReplyDelete
  20. my cat used to do that when she was little so we had to make sure she was a wake all day so she would let us sleep.

    ReplyDelete
  21. sooo true! Love the "maybe if I ignore her she will go away" lol, I do the exact same thing!

    ReplyDelete
  22. hahaha, oh I know it very well:)

    ReplyDelete
  23. up til now, i still don't know what they want. treats, cuddles, whatever. they're just up!

  24. what's always a little disturbing is when you a just on the edge of waking and you feel something...not quite....right...and cracking your eye, there, nose to nose with you is-A GIANT KITTEN FACE, with on paw raised and an oddly innocent look on their face.
My cat's eyes are also crossed so the effect is of huge dilated blue eyes just ever-so-slightly looking behind or to the side of you is quite off-putting in the early hours of the morning.

  25. I must have angel cats because most mine do is knead on me while I'm still sleeping =] All three of them!!! (not at the same time, I mean that's how they wake me up but they take turns =])

    ReplyDelete
  26. I got that all last night... until kitten just climbed under the covers (at around 4am) and slept on my arm. so good trying to check your phone when you can't actually feel your fingers...

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ahh, my orange cat did the very same thing this morning, and every morning! And she had food, she just wnated even fresher food! She needs to see me dish it out to her!

    ReplyDelete
  28. hehe that is so funny! My cat does exactly the same thing, except for the fact that if you ignore him he'll proceed to pat my head with my paw.

    ReplyDelete
  29. yeah, the problem is when they dont know what they want and yet they continue asking for it!!!

    ReplyDelete
  30. My cat chews on my hair to wake me up. I guess because I can ignore her mewing and pawing when asleep, so she take up chewing.

    ReplyDelete
  31. When Frostin tries to wake me up in the middle of the night, I just pull him close and give him pets and cuddles until he gets all purry. Then I just leave one arm loosely around him and go back to sleep. Works pretty good most times.

  32. so true! if only cats would be more considerate. :(

    ReplyDelete
  33. mine is like, mewmew*poke*mewmew*bite chin*mewmewmew*bite head*mewmewmewmewmew*poke, poke, bite, and pull my hair* =o=

  34. My kittens do me this weekend, want me to open up the window just as they open I go to sleep and come back to me up to feed them. I definitely do not want more than they sleep on weekends.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Yep, that's definitely my Yuki alright. He'd either paw my husband's face or mine, his wake-up-meowathon at the door and my favourite, climb on top of one on the bed while singing his rendition of "Climb ev-ry mountain" cat edition (and out of tune).

    ReplyDelete
  36. I...just...want...to SLEEP! *cat continues to paw face and mew* :D

    ReplyDelete
  37. Just grab them and give them a big ol hug and lovin until they can't handle it anymore. That should buy you a few hours.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Hahahaha so true! Although sometimes if I ignore him my kitty will go away for a min and then come back and annoy me... and sometimes when I'm REALLY lucky and ignore him for long enough he'll curl up and go to sleep on my chest/near my head until I wake up and then beg for food. But then I have to be very, very still because the slightest movement will stir him awake and into a mewing "feedmefeedme" frenzy! haha

  39. like..... escorting him to the litter box at 5am...

    ReplyDelete
  40. It is always loving at 6am for beans, Delilah likes loving at 2am.

    ReplyDelete
  41. My cat Dora does the same thing, every day at 6:00 AM...

    ReplyDelete
  42. My one cat literally sounds like a rooster. It's ridiculous. He's "special needs" and has his own crazy ways of making sounds I've never heard a cat make before.

    ReplyDelete
  43. agree hehe, same goes with my cat haha

    ReplyDelete
  44. idk if you noticed but this is your 100th post!

    ReplyDelete
  45. Every night around 2am the kneading begins on my thigh until Sammie gets what she wants. sometimes Phoebe joins in. And of course there's no sleeping in on weekends either (but I wouldn't have it any other way). ;)

  46. I have one cat... Ty-Fustan. He doesn´t like me to sleep at night... like this, he meow me several times, lick my hair, sit on my chest ans starts to purring.... even he walk hard a few times over my breast!! that really, really hurts...

But noon he wants me to sleep with him, make go to follow, and always ends in my bed, he just fall down next to the pillow and show me his belly...

    ReplyDelete
  47. OMG SO TRUE. although my mom is the one they're always bothering, and if she doesnt wanna wake up, they'll start shoving things from the cupboard near her onto her >face<...

    ReplyDelete
  48. My one cat Dobby woke me up at 4am this morning in this exact manner. Thought he just wanted me to escort him to the litter tray but oh no. He urgently needed to scent mark with his cheeks on objects he has access to all the time.

    Such a cute kitty :)

  49. The things we let them get away with

  50. My little orange kitty, well, if he sees me go into my room with my dog and close the door he starts howling like a raved lunatic cat until I reopen the door to let him in too, he thinks I'm gonna forget him, but really I have to get my dog situated in her crate with her rawhide.

  51. I have never been able to figure out why cats do this. My two do it every day. :(

    ReplyDelete
  52. I've got two 6 month old orange hairy beasties, Milo & Otis. I've tried several times to let them sleep with me (I'm a glutton for punishment). They thot it was fun to play chase - across the bed, under the headboard, and up the curtains. If they weren't doin that, Otis insisted on shoving his face in my face. At first is just shove him away-then I started wrapping my hand over his head & pushing him off. It got to the point of actually shoving him off the bed. He'd just spring back like he was attached to my face with a rubber band. Eventually is just get up & make em leave the room & shut them out. They're gettin neutered nxt wk. I told em I was gonna have the last laff - lol. I love em tho. :)

  53. Oh yeah, hiding under the covers doesn't work either. If ya dont run out of oxygen b4 they succeed in burrowing under to get to your face, u lose the argument.

    ReplyDelete
  54. hehehe, very welldone blog you´ve got here, at all these pictures i must think of mine, and it´s really the same ;) in moment they lie next to me on the bed sleeping...

    ReplyDelete
  55. aww~ my older cat waits for me to go to bed each night, nudges and rubs her head all over me before making herself comfortable using my arm as her pillow~ and zzzzzzzzzzzz to morning together~

heee- if i do "flatten" her she would just shift accordingly

    love her lots~

  56. OMG I thought my cat was clinically ill until i found you! ... YEY IM NOT ALONE! Especially with the kitty litter in Bathroom and this MEOWING! I have to sleep with ear plugs and the door closed!

    ReplyDelete
  57. Jack-O-Lantern wants to play at 3 a.m. She tells me it's a shame to waste all that good dark on sleeping. Or she wakes me for an empty bowl emergency.

    ReplyDelete
  58. That used to happen when i was 14 my cat named Gina (i had like eight of them) step on my chest and if i do not put atention to her well ... she bit my nose ...

    ReplyDelete
  59. haha my cats only do this to my parents, unless its a cat emergency, then they'll come to me :P

Once i just had enough of it and i returned the favour to our youngest (loudest) cat: mew mew mew *poke* meeeewww mew...*poke poke*

she did not like that! XD

    ReplyDelete
