  3. nothing lifts my day more than a furry wee face looking up at me like i'm the world and a motor running

  4. My cat just yells at me because she hates the sounds of sniffling and sobbing, it interferes with her sleep.

  5. Half of the bad things that happened in my life weren't so bad at the time, because I had a kitty there. :)

  6. My husband is a decorated veteran who came back from his last tour with more than a little anxiety and night terrors. Our two cats never seem fearful of him when he wakes up screaming and fighting invisable enemies- they just wait for him to sit still or lay down, then they nudge & rub him, purring and talking gently. It's amazing how they can soothe him. They know he is upset & hurt, and they intuitively know what they need to do. They are amazing healers!

  8. Oh this is so sweet - Milly our little ginger cat runs around the room wailing if anyone sounds upset which then makes you want to cuddle her - she's smart ;)

  11. My cats all try to shove themselves up my nose when I start crying. I don't know if it's a comforting action or if they just like the taste of my tears.

  12. I love them when the do this, it is the sweetest thing in the world :)

  14. Even a guy can say his kitty's made bad times less bad, cos she does pretty much this exact thing. :)

  15. Both of my cats did that to me, even if I'm in one of my depressing moods. It just shows that they care at least. :D

  16. They might rip your bed (and other furniture) to shreds, but boy, do they make you smile! :)

  17. When I cry mit kitty tries to make me play with her (she has never been the cuddly type, she`s a playful one). she starts biting my arm and my back (in a cute way of course ^^). she never fails to make me smile :) currently I live in a city 500 km away from my parents and my kitten`s home because of my studies... no kitty to comofort me when I cry...it`s hard >.<

  18. My two girls take it in shifts to comfort me when I'm feeling miserable. They can't stand each other, but one will stay with me while the other eats and sleeps, then they swap.

  19. So very true! My cats are sensitive to all my moods. They even know when I am sick.

  20. Sometimes when I hurt myself (stub a toe or something) my cat hears me scream, and he rushes in to see if I'm okay. Then he sniffs my foot or licks it, and then he rubs and purrs for a bit to make me feel better. He's a nice little friend.

  23. I was having a really terrible day today and manged to stumble over to your comic, and saw this. This reminded me that I will soon be home with my lovies <3

  24. Agree 100% with all the posters (except Fae's human, who is overdue for some C.A.T. = Cat-Assisted Therapy!) The best medicine for what ails ya is definitely some kneads, purrs, and soft velvety love from your CAT(s) ;)

  25. Can I please get this cartoon on a bag, placemat, tank top, coaster... or anything? This is so sweet- I love when cats know how to cheer their owners up ^_^

  26. @000 That. Is. Fantastic. <3 That made my day, like the cherry on top of this comic.

  27. That's really an "awwwww" moment! It's amazing how cats seem to know what we feel.

When I am sick, my Siamese, Qish, "takes care" of me by staying in bed beside me. He doesn't even ask for food, he just waits for me to feel better. When I am sad, he comforts me, too. He would lick my tears when I am crying. I feel that we have some emotional connection.

On the other hand, Rue, the mischievous little one, wouldn't mind if I am crying, limping or dying. She would go on with her playful self, and would even run over me. She's sweet that way!

  30. Wow, this is timed well. I've been dealing with some bad stuff at work, bad boss who picks on everyone (thankfully being investigated right now by HR), and have been dealing with lots of anxiety and tears. My cats have been cheering me up so much, and they really are the best at making you smile. Thanks for this, it made me smile too.

  31. I was having a really bad time a while back with my guy being over in afghanistan and a stalker ex boyfriend back in my life. I was on the computer talking to my guy and very upset, so my cat decided to cheer me up. I happened to have a camera:

Note the concern in kitty eyes. Cats love us humans, I have no doubt.

  33. Awe, this is so sweet and so true. Reading this comic makes me miss my kitty. She's with my parents, and I'd have to pay an exuberant pet deposit and cat-proof my current apartment in order for her to be with me.

  34. hi i'm from halfway round the globe and YES my older cat does the same thing too~
when i'm upset or crying, she will lick my tears away and put a paw on me~ together with a soft purrr~
    cats are the best!

  35. I wanted to thank you for doing this piece. For a cute and funny comment, you'd be surprised about how much it helps me when I'm having a hard time (and those happen a lot these days)

it really lightened my mood and made me see the silver lining...and of course i relate to this. sobbing your eyes out, and your cat comes up and is all like "what's wrong with you? there's no reason to be sad, just deal with things as they come. now pet me and feed me please."

I may be digging too much into this, but still, thank you. <3

  36. Hi Yasmine. First commend here. I love your comics.

You gotta move to the apt building that I live in Hayes. This is a Cat Mansion, 50% of tenants have at least one cat, no cat deposits or any extra rent/procedure, we even have a cat sitter living in the building when you are away. The manager's cat has a human size bathroom just for herself. :) My kitty and I ain't moving nowhere!

  37. Kitties are so sweet like that. My cat isn't usually much of a cuddler, but every time I cry, he seems to magically appear on my lap. ^_^

  38. so true :-) the gentle purring is very thereputic x

  39. Like all of your depictions - this one is soooo true! I've never had a kitty who didn't curl up on me or next to me if I was crying. They are incredibly sensitive to our moods and possess an amazing ability to lift our spirits!

  40. this has happened to me as well!! my cat just came and sat near my head and started sniffing me.... instant mood uplifter! :)

  41. Even when my human counterpart isn't bothered to comfort me, my cat nuzzles my face until I have to laugh.

But then also, I was watching a movie once where a little girl was screaming (a lot), and my cat stopped what she was doing and yelled at the TV until she stopped! Also laughed at that...

  47. Kinda like when I wasn't feeling well, my kitty I used to have, came and snuggled up next to me and purred and snuggled. Of course, then I had to ruin it by nearly barfing all over her....but that's another story.
