My cat Money when I let him outside (while I watch over him).

He's very happy rolling in the dirt and running after bugs.

  1. My cat Shady is the same way. And she is solid black, so after rolling around she look's grey or brown.

  2. My cat rolled in a chalk tree that my daughter colored... she was green for a bit *the cat, not my daughter*

  3. My front and back doors are in line with one another so rather than walking around the house the cats like to go through it

  8. How to make an indoor cat happy:
Catch a firefly. Put away your breakables. Turn of the lights. Let the firefly loose.
    :D

  10. Oh I love these comics so much. I have a doggie door that my cats use and one likes to go roll in the dirt then come and roll in my bed.

(Our feline family is very happy indoors. They never go out. They are safer, healthier and cleaner that way. And their humble servant is far more serene.) ;)

  14. My cats live outside and look IN to our windows at us! Just the opposite. We spend a lot of time outdoors with the cats, they don't like being cramped up in a tiny house at all. They bring us field mice, moles and bats, to show what they've been hunting. They are so the master of their world! And yes they roll in the dust all the time. Except the one that likes to sit in the empty food dish. He is a cat all unto himself.

  15. Our younger boy will NEVER be allowed outside, despite how much batting at the window he does. We keep cushions in all the windows so they all can choose the best spot for bird/squirrel watching. And oh how the little boy loves the smell of dirt after we come in from yard work!

  16. my cat will never ever be outside! I'm terrified by the thought that she's constantly meow at the door or window afterwards.

  17. Whenever we take my cat for a walk, he zeros in on where the dogs have been, and just rollls and roooolllsss in whatever dried dog pee he can find. I tried to have him tested but the vet claims he's normal.

  18. this perfectly describes my cat Georgia. She tries so hard to "escape" to the outside & then rolls around on the sidewalk in the dust & rocks!

I'm not sure if you keep tabs still on the A Print A Day blog, but I think it may have been hacked :(

  19. I dont understand keeping cats indoors. It would just be like a big cage. Big, but still a cage.

  24. I wish i could take tommy out on a leash, even if he refused to walk. It would be nice to carry him with a leash but... he will get used to going outside and we have people going in and out all the time and he ran away before and came back with bloody scratches (a lot of strays in neighborhood) so unfortunately we can't =[

  31. this is EXACTLY like my cat Elvis. meowmeowmeow.... wut? and then just dirt as much as possible. we put him in a harness (cuz he loves to lunge at the stray cat around our place)but he just does the same thing.

  32. My Tang is just like this. I let him outside, and all he does is roll in the dirt. Dirty kitty!

  33. My cat Bandit is the same, chases grass, leaves, butterflies and bugs, but only after turning her otherwise glossy black coat dusty brown by rolling.

  34. My cat is exactly like the gray one rolling in the dirt... but I have to share this with you, because it will make SOMEONE laugh like I am... it made me think of the Mars Land Rover...

  35. The few times I've taken my Fishcake outside on a lead, he's done the same thing, and unfortunately he has long fur too, so he gets all sorts of dirt and debris in it and I have to brush it out... pretty sure he does it on purpose. He rolls in the dust by the front door, too.

  36. I wouldnt let my cats out, even if they were supervised. too many things could go wrong.

I don't know about every cat, but my cats run and hide when hearing very loud noises; which can happen at any time, unexpectedly.

also, there are a bunch of bad people and bad things that could happen to them, especially if they run away, get lost and/or are unsupervised.

I do let my cats out - to my screened in patio.
if they liked going out on a secure leash I'd also do that
