  4. ROFL!!! I've had this happen, but most of the time if I nudge my kitty, she'll turn around and give me this look that says quite plainly "Do you MIND?!?" XD

  6. My cat doesn't do that, instead she gives evil looks to my husband for no particular reason.

  8. It have this happen to me a number of times and there are absolutely nothing there. Chinese believe that cats can see spirits and sometimes this can get pretty eerie especially at night...

    1. I agree with the Chinese! My youngest cat who is still only 10 months stares intently at nothing, with his ear twitching and flattening back and forth! And then all of a sudden he'll run and hide under the couch! I'm convinced he sees dead people...

  10. My boyfriend and I believe my cat Alice is sending information or communicating with her Mothership or something like that. She spends about half an hour almost everyday looking at the sky, no butterflies, no mosquitoes, no spiders on the wall... perfectly concentrated D:

  15. Sometimes our cats do the same. I tried to look on the same direction but I can't see anything.. Until I watch reaaaaaallllyy close to the wall/door/floor and see a minitiny ant or something.

  16. My kitty stares at things. I look at her, then the direction she's looking, then at her, then the direction, then at her, then the direction, then at her and she's asleep.... never fails.

  20. It's creepy when they stare at the door and there's only you in the house.

  21. I always think they are listening intently to something out of our hearing range. Because the ears move. They aren't looking at anything, just putting all their focus into hearing.

Yes, 'tis particularly entertaining when they stare into empty rooms...
my boys saw my father within seconds of him dying in the hospital. the food dropped out of their mouths they were so surprised but I was comforted to know he had come straight home.

  23. lol! i tell the boyfriend that i swear the cat's hallucinating. not only does she stare, but she whips her head around-looking at (from what i can see) nothing!

  24. My friend says that dogs and cats do that because there is a ghost :/.
I personally think that they like to zone out like humans do.

  25. When my cat does that at night, I'm always like, "Is someone there?" Darn my paranoia and my cats perked up ears.
