We got a very very angry voice mail the next day. The person on the other line was a relative and he didn’t know that it was my cats tampering with Victor’s phone.
Haha! Thank God they didn't make an international call! This has still not happened to me BUT I can tell you that a few weeks ago, Dimitri stepped on my phone on my bedside table (as he usually does, 2 or 3 times a night, when he wants me to go watch him him eat) and the next morning I found that he has changed the phone layout! The screen had a pink shade and the wallpaper was different! :O
I love your blog, too much funny! I have a kitty and a dog and I live the same situations with my pets. Sry about my bad english, i'm from Argentina. Kisses =D
One time, in the middle of a conversation, the phone line went dead. Fortunately, I had a Radio Shack close by and I ran down there right away. One new phone cord later, I called my friend back and told him what happened -- yes, you guessed it! My Siamese girl had chewed through the curly cord!
I had a kitty named Pierce who liked to sit on the answering machine till it beeped. Didn't know it for a couple of weeks that the incoming message was changed to "Damnit Pierce get off the *BLEEP BLEEP BLEEP* answering machine!" My dad left me a message, something like "Uh....is that you? Um, yeah um? Hello?"
I've heard of butt-dialing, but never cat dialing from a cell phone. However, our land line phone with its open keypad is fair game. Thankfully no long-distance calls - yet. I'm always happy to see a new post from you!
That reminded me of this news story.. Sorry if you have heard of it before, I just thought it was brilliant. http://www.unexplained-mysteries.com/viewnews.php?id=196357
Kitty crank calls - your relative should have been enchanted by the novelty instead of mad!
ReplyDeleteoh he thought it was one of his friends making prank calls at 3 in the morning :)
ReplyDeleteHahaha! your cats have to be geniuses! :) Amazing!

ReplyDeleteOnce mine sent a IM to a friend I was talking to that just said "////////" and my friend was confused. I had to tell her my cat did it.
ReplyDeleteLol I don't know i'f i'd believe a cat did it but it is cool for future excuses! I'll keep my phone away from my cat just in case though :)

This would be one of the reasons I really prefer the nearly extinct clamshell type of phone!

ReplyDeleteMy husband, when he was a kid, had a cat they kept at his parents' shop. One night, they were awakened by the cat calling them at home.
